THE HOLY ENCOUNTER

In esotericism, the higher self in women is a man, and the higher self in men is a woman.

This maps on nicely to Jung's concept of the anima and animus.

It's also why in love relationships, the first stage is usually that golden projection stage, where your higher self is seen in 'the other.'

(Until we actually do our shadow integration and reclaim all lost parts of ourselves, these attributes will lay dormant internally and we will project them onto others. This is why shadow integration is key on the path of individuation, in order to fully realize our True Self, according to Jung.)

When we're not conscious of our human tendencies in that first stage of golden projection, we often fall hard when the honeymoon phase ends - and the ‘other’ falls off the pedestal.

Very interesting how the phrase is "fall in love."

Those of us engaging in the inner alchemy (inner union and integration) often got here through making these unconscious 'mistakes' and feeling the pain of them, thereby creating a catalyst to do things very differently.

This is a key in the relationship between men + women and how we will truly rise together into the new paradigm, a template that is devoid of codependency, shadow projection and lack of inner union.

The Holy Encounter is when we merge our human self and God self together, that true divine union within, the inner alchemical marriage of the 'lower + upper.'

This is true Heaven on Earth.

If we are fixated on this Holy Encounter happening outside of us, placing that responsibility on the other, then we aren't there yet.

This alchemy can be facilitated through relationships (everything on the earth plane is a relationship between self and other), but as long as we place that burden solely on the other, externalizing it, we are missing the heart of what we are being called into, which is the inner alchemy, aka soul evolution.

I never realized years ago when I was praying for Divine Union (thinking this was a romantic relationship) where that would actually take me…
